Born in a musicians’ family, Julia Riabova
started to learn to play piano with her grand mother, an imminent piano teacher. Her mother Larissa Chilovskaja is a pianist-concert performer and was formed by the most
prestigious professors who passed on to her the best traditions of the Russian piano school.
Julia’s father, the pupil of Aram Katchatourian, is one of the
most famous Russian composers today.
Julia Riabova began her career when she was twelve years old by playing the “Chostakovitch concerto n°1 for
piano and orchestra” in Baku ’s main philharmonic concert hall where she worked with Elmira Nazirova pianist and composer, the pupil of Dimitri Chostakovitch.
She was awarded at the piano competition of “ young composers” and

During her studies at Moscow ’s Tchaïkovski academy (Piano Diploma

Vladimir Viardo, Serguei Markarov at the Ecole Normale de Musique, Paris / Cortot (Superior piano diploma), Elisabeth Leonskaja.

Larissa Chilovkaja, of Leonid Bobylev's concerto dedicated to them in the Moscow Festival of Contemporary music “(The Culture, Moscow ).” She is a cultured musician possessing a perfect control (master's degree) of her instrument

Julia Riabova played with world renowned interpreters such as Jean
-Claude Pennetier, Peter Donohoe, Yasuko Mitsui, ArieVardi, Arkadi Volodos.
She performed in large and prestigious concert halls such as the
St-Petersburg Philharmonic, Salle Cortot in Paris, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Mannheim Rosergarten and participates regularly in contemporary music festivals in and in Europe .
Her repertoire is vast with an accent on the romantic and
contemporary music. She recorded a CD dedicated to the Twenty Century polyphonic music.
